15–20kg Himalayan Salt Lamp
This is a large Himalayan salt lamp that weighs between 15kg and 20kg.
The height is usually around 35cm. These lamps are made from individual pieces of salt, so one may be a little shorter and wider while another stands slightly taller.
At this weight, you are getting a substantial piece of rock salt. It is worth having a place ready for it before you unpack everything, especially as you probably will not want to keep moving it around once it is set up.
The salt comes from Pakistan and has its natural pink colouring when the lamp is off. Once you switch the bulb on, more of the orange tones start to show through.
Some areas may stay darker than others depending on the thickness of the salt.
What Comes in the Box?
The lamp comes packed with a UK 3-pin lead and two bulbs.
Having the spare bulb there is useful, as you can put it away until the first one eventually needs replacing.
At 15–20kg, this is a heavy lamp. It needs somewhere solid to sit.
A sturdy cabinet or low table would be an excellent choice rather than a light shelf.
Expect the outside to have its own shape, markings and uneven areas. That is all part of using a natural piece of Himalayan salt rather than something made to identical measurements.
