Cube Himalayan Salt Lamp
A cube salt lamp is a little different from the rough pieces of Himalayan salt you normally see.
The salt has been cut into a square shape with flat sides and fairly straight edges. It gives the lamp a much more regular look without making it overly complicated.
If you like simple shapes, then the cube is an easy one to go for.
Why a Cube Shape?
The square shape makes it quite straightforward to place with other things in the room. It does not have a wide bowl or a detailed carving sticking out from the sides.
It also looks different depending on the angle you see it from. Straight on you mainly notice one flat face. Move around it and the corners become much more obvious.
When the lamp is switched on, the light comes through each side of the salt. The corners can sometimes look deeper in colour because there is more salt for the light to travel through there.
That gives the cube a slightly different appearance once it is lit.
There is still some of the natural character of Himalayan salt even though the outside has been shaped. You may see lines or changes in shade across the flat surfaces.
The cube is worth considering if you want a salt lamp without the usual rough rock outline.
It is a fairly simple design and that is really the point of it. You get the natural salt with a much more defined shape around the outside.
