What is Pink Himalayan Salt Coarse?

This pink Himalayan salt comes from Pakistan and is sold in larger crystals.

The colour can vary quite a bit. Some pieces are very pale pink while others have a stronger orange tone. You may even get a few almost white crystals mixed in.

This is the coarse version. The pieces are much bigger than normal table salt and are made for people who prefer a chunkier grain.

It works well in a salt grinder. You can grind a little over food as you need it rather than using the crystals whole.

Some people like using coarse pink salt for cooking because the pieces are bigger and easy to grind when needed.
