Himalayan Salt Night Light
Pink Himalayan salt gives this night light a very different appearance from an ordinary plastic or fabric lamp.
The salt is a natural material from Pakistan and no two pieces look exactly alike. One lamp may be quite pale while another has stronger orange or darker pink areas running through it. Lines, small marks and changes in the surface are all part of the rock itself.
Once the light is switched on, those differences become easier to notice. Some areas let more light through while thicker sections can stay darker. The result is not a completely even glow, which is what gives each lamp its own appearance.
It is the sort of light you can leave out during the day as well. When it is switched off, the natural colour and texture of the salt become the main feature rather than the light inside.
Salt lamps are made in a range of shapes and sizes, so it is worth checking the individual product measurements before choosing where yours will go. A bedside table is one place to use one, but a shelf or small table can work just as well.
