What’s a Himalayan Salt Block?
A Himalayan rock salt emerges from the 16th-century mineshaft in Pakistan. It explodes into light, catching and refracting the sun in hues ranging Springwater clear to hibiscus pink to venison red.
A Himalayan salt block can be used in cooking and serving various foods. They’re perfect for baking or grilling meats, poultry, eggs, fish, seafood, fresh fruit, and vegetables as they transfer heat efficiently and at high temperatures.
They can also be used to bake cookies, scones, pizzas, and other baked goods. Himalayan pink salt blocks are a natural product quarried from the Salt Range in Pakistan. No piece is alike. Each has a unique color and inclusions, resulting in a different entrance for pressure and temperature.
Cooking in a Himalayan Salt Block
Each kind of food will react uniquely to your salt block. The effect of salt on food will depend on moisture, fat content, thickness, and the block’s temperature. The food’s moisture will pick up salt faster, while fat will resist the salt. To make sure your food is not too salty; just put a thin layer of oil on the block.

How do heating a salt block works?
